The 2012 Scion tC Release Series 7.0 ? the first release series for the second-generation tC coupe ? hits U.S. dealers this summer, priced from $21,625 with a six-speed manual gearbox and $22,625 with a six-speed automatic.
Toyota is launching the new tC RS 7.0 with a clever "Zeus, God of the Awesome" advertising campaign.
Toyota plans to offer only 2,200 units of the tC RS 7.0, which
features a new High Voltage yellow paint scheme with contrasting black
side mirrors and black 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as a TRD body kit
with front and rear lower valences and side skirts, plus a honeycomb
lower grille.
The cockpit of the tC RS 7.0 gets black and yellow seat fabric, a
leather-wrapped steering wheel with yellow stitching, a keyless entry
system and push-button start.
All 2012 tC coupes come standard with a new 300-watt Pioneer audio
system that bundles high-definition radio, Bluetooth streaming audio and
iPod connectivity. Prices start at $19,295, including shipping, with
the manual gearbox and $20,295 with the automatic.
The Pioneer audio system is shared with the 2012 Scion xB, which goes
on sale in July. Prices start at $17,020 with the five-speed manual and
$17,970 with the four-speed sequential shift automatic.
